Tree planting 2006.		While much of the Murray LLC property remains forested, about 30% is formally set aside for tree farming. Most years, strong winds in the Enumclaw area down timber, which is then harvested for commercial sale. Besides the "windfall profits" provided by these storms, damaged or diseased trees are also downed using more conventional methods and sold for lumber or firewood.
More recently, root rot infestations have required harvesting and replanting sections of land with more resistant trees, such as the white pine planted in March 2006.
